    Minister of Commerce Atheer Al-Ghurairy announced, on Monday, the intention of the Ministry of Commerce to direct the loaf project, which is supported by the initiative to replace the flour quota for those who wish from families included in the ration card system with samun or bread, according to a study prepared by the General Company for Grain Processing.
    Al-Ghurairy stressed, "The initiative to replace the flour share with the subsidized loaf will be optional, and it came based on a study prepared by a specialized committee from the company's departments for the benefit of families who do not use home bakers and sell their shares of flour at low prices to agents or the rotary, by replacing the flour share with samoon or bread." ".
    He pointed out that "the study included offering the optional subsidized loaf project by replacing the portion of flour with samoon or bread at the rate of 120 samoon for each person per month, or 90 loaves of bread."
    He added, "The implementation of this project will start in rich areas, provided that it is optional for families, using electronic cards that guarantee the right of the beneficiary to receive his daily ration of bread or samoon, at the rate of four samoons per person per day."
    And he continued, "This initiative, if applied, will contribute to saving large amounts of money that were lost between the parties to the flour distribution process in the targeted areas, where flour is sold by families at low prices that do not amount to the cost of its production, and to achieve the maximum possible benefit by rationing the losses from the process of producing and processing flour." the mechanism currently in force.
