Today, Thursday, the Prime Minister, Muhammad Shia'a Al-Sudani, ordered the suspension of official working hours next Monday, coinciding with International Workers' Day.
The spokesman for the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers, Haider Majeed, told the official news agency and its follow-up (Baghdad Today) that "Prime Minister Muhammad Shia' al-Sudani directed the suspension of official working hours, on Monday, the first of May, in all ministries and state institutions."
"This coincided with International Labor Day," he added.
