    Baghdad today - Kurdistan
Today, Sunday, the oil expert, Kovind Sherwani, revealed that SOMO has agreed with a number of companies to purchase oil exported from the Kurdistan region.
Sherwani told (Baghdad Today) that "SOMO has agreed and arranged with several companies to buy 400,000 barrels of oil exported from the region, in addition to 80,000 barrels of Kirkuk oil."
He added, "In the coming days, the export of the region's oil will be resumed through the Turkish port of Ceyhan."
Sherwani pointed out that "the losses of the Iraqi economy as a result of stopping the export of the region's oil amounted to more than one billion dollars."
Earlier, the federal government signed, with the Kurdistan Regional Government, a final agreement stipulating that Baghdad assume the process of fully supervising the export of oil from the fields of the region, which allows the resumption of oil exports again through the Turkish port of Ceyhan.
