Shafaq News/ Kurdish observers believe that the current political situation in the Kurdistan Region needs a new strategic agreement within two phases to move beyond internal disputes and preserve the constitutional entity of the region.
Shukr Ahmed, an observer of political affairs, said in his interview with Shafaq News agency reporter that the two parties' rapprochement at this stage is the first step to move the current stage to safety, but we do not expect that this step will be sufficient without proceeding with a new strategic agreement between the two main parties on the one hand and for a period of not. Less than ten years and it is between the two main parties and the main parties in the region on the other hand.

He added that the existence of a strategic framework for the work of the parties is the real guarantor for advancing the current stage, especially since the region now does not have an independent economy after the agreement with Baghdad on the export of oil, adding that the stage requires uniting ranks and building the pillars of political stability first, followed by economic and social alike.
As for the activist Hawri Karzan, he confirms that the region and throughout its times did not proceed in stability without the rapprochement of most of the parties, at least among themselves. Therefore, he expects that the existence of a political agreement that brings together all the opponents under international auspices is the best at the present time, and this agreement obliges everyone to have goals. A major joint implementation in several stages, after which it is possible to develop the agreement into a long-term political treaty.
The two main parties held an expanded meeting on Tuesday after a three-month break for many reasons, and they agreed to open a new page of relations between the two sides, according to a joint statement issued after a meeting of their offices that took place in the city of Sulaymaniyah.
While the American diplomatic missions, the European Union, and countries in the Kurdistan Region called for holding parliamentary elections at the specified time, demanding the implementation of the steps after the Kurdish political parties responded to the invitation made by the Kurdish leader Masoud Barzani to sit at a dialogue table in the coming days to overcome differences in order to proceed with holding elections on time. .
Hemin Hawrami, a member of the political bureau of the Kurdistan Democratic Party and deputy speaker of the Kurdistan Parliament, said that the meeting of the Democratic Party with the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan was the result of the message of leader Masoud Barzani, stressing that the Kurdistan Democratic Party is ready to sign a new strategic agreement with the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan.
Hawrami said in a statement, followed by Shafaq News Agency, "The Patriotic Union of Kurdistan attaches great importance to the initiative of leader Barzani, and he said: It is a historical message to us."
He added that the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan and the Kurdistan Democratic Party decided to discuss a number of issues, including the issue of elections and the political agreement between the two parties, and both sides are keen to resolve issues with a better understanding.
While a member of the Political Bureau of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, Paula Talabani, said that the Political Bureau of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan and the Kurdistan Democratic Party discussed a number of important issues related to the elections and relations with Baghdad.
And Paula Talabani, a member of the Political Bureau, said in a press statement that the meetings between the two Political Bureaus will continue in the coming period.
He stressed that "there is a good understanding, but there are other issues that need to be understood and have different opinions. All of these issues are subject to discussion between the two parties in the coming days."
