The Turkish Statistics Authority announced today, Monday, that its exports to Iraq during the first five months of this year exceeded $4.6 billion.
The authority said in official statistics seen by "Al-Iqtisad News", that "the volume of Turkish exports to Iraq during the months of January, February, March, April and May of this year amounted to four billion, 688 million and 435 thousand dollars."
And it showed that “866 million and 808 thousand dollars are the volume of exports for the month of January, 731 million and 758 thousand dollars are exports for the month of February, one billion and 112 million and 202 thousand dollars for the month of March, and 970 million and 383 thousand dollars for the month of April, while exports in the month of May amounted to one billion and 11 million and 307 Thousands of dollars.
And she added, "Turkey's exports to Iraq during the five months of this year decreased by 9% compared to the same period last year 2022," noting that "these exports represent 4.6% of Turkey's exports to the world."
Iraq imports most of its needs of goods and commodities from neighboring countries, especially Turkey and Iran, in addition to importing it from China, which is the largest exporter of commodities and commodities in the world.
