Today, Friday, Minister of Communications Hiyam Al-Yasiri held a meeting with Amazon to discuss the Internet project through space.
The ministry said, in a statement received by (Baghdad Today), that "Al-Yasiri held a meeting via (video conference) technology with the global Amazon company, on the second day of Eid Al-Adha, to proceed with the procedures for the project to provide this service to citizens and institutions, in the presence of a number of ministry officials and formations."
The statement added, "During the meeting, the security, technical and legal aspects of the project and the observations made by the minister were discussed, while the company's representatives provided integrated answers to the technical observations made by Al-Yasiri, as well as ideas and visions for the project and the next steps."
