Baghdad - Conscious - Wissam Al-Mulla
Today, Monday, the Parliamentary Security and Defense Committee determined the fate of the compulsory service law, while it revealed 3 laws whose first reading will take place during today's session.
The head of the committee, Abbas Al-Zamili, said in a statement to the Iraqi News Agency (INA): “The compulsory service law was returned to the government at its request to amend some of its paragraphs,” noting that “the most important laws within the Parliamentary Security and Defense Committee are: combating terrorism, and the College of Aviation.” and the Intelligence Agency.
Al-Zamili added, "The three laws will have their first reading during today's session."
Earlier today, Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Shakhwan Abdullah, chaired the meeting of the Parliamentary Security and Defense Committee, to discuss a number of important laws sent by the federal government, and the importance of continuing work and efforts to prepare and implement laws in the new legislative term in accordance with legislative contexts and procedures.
