About one billion dollars in Iraqi Central Auction sales in a week

Shafaq News/ The Central Bank of Iraq’s total sales of hard currency to the US dollar during the past week amounted to about one billion dollars.
Shafaq News Agency correspondent stated that the Central Bank sold 988 million 388 thousand and 594 dollars during the last week and for the five days in which the auction was opened, at a daily rate of 197 million 677 thousand and 718 dollars, a decrease of 9.6% from what it recorded the previous week. Which amounted to 218 million and 29 thousand and 525 dollars.
The highest dollar sales were on Tuesday, when sales amounted to 201 million, 395 thousand and 261 dollars, while the lowest sales were on Wednesday, when sales amounted to 193 million, 555 thousand and 683 dollars.
Our correspondent indicated that foreign remittance sales during the past week amounted to 788 million, 406,594 dollars, an increase of 74% compared to cash sales, which amounted to 199 million, 982 thousand dollars.
Our correspondent explained that the sales went in the form of cash and transfers abroad to finance foreign trade, while the selling price of documentary credits and international settlements for electronic cards reached 1,305 dinars per dollar, while the selling price of transfers abroad and the cash selling price reached 1,310 dinars per dollar.
