Today, Tuesday, Minister of Transport, Razzaq Muhaibes Al-Saadawi, inaugurated the Silo-Sharqat railway line after a three-decade hiatus.
The Ministry of Transport stated in a statement received by Al-Iqtisad News, “Minister of Transport Razzaq Muhaibes Al-Saadawi inaugurated the Silo-Sharqat railway line after a three-decade hiatus.”
The Minister of Transport, Razzaq Muhaibis Al-Saadawi, arrived Tuesday morning in Saladin Governorate and met with Governor Ismail Khudair Haloub, in the presence of the Director General of the General Company for Iraqi Railways, Younis Al-Kaabi, and the Director of the General Company for Private Transport Management, Ahmed Karim Al-Moussawi, to discuss developing the reality of transportation in the governorate.
The Ministry's media office stated, and responded to Al-Sumaria News, that "the Minister expressed, during the meeting, his full support for the governorate," stressing that "Salah al-Din Governorate represents an important strategic location in the development road project."
For his part, the governor welcomed “the visit of the Minister of Transport to the governorate and his briefing on the reality of transportation there,” praising “the efforts of the services government to keep pace with the work and completion stages of the governorate’s service projects.”
