The Director of Resources for Fallujah District and eastern Anbar Governorate, Raed Mazhar al-Muhammadi, announced on Tuesday the postponement of the agricultural plan for the winter season until further notice.

Al-Muhammadi said in a statement to Al-Maalouma Agency, “The Ministries of Agriculture and Water Resources postponed the approval of the agricultural plan for the winter season in all cities of Anbar, against the backdrop of the continued water shipment and the lack of new water releases from Turkey in conjunction with the continued use of water storage in Lake Tharthar, north of the city of Fallujah, for the year.” Fourth in a row.”
He added, "The Ministry of Water Resources also postponed holding a meeting with the directors of agricultural departments in the governorate to prepare the winter agricultural plan for the current season because there are no new developments in the water scarcity crisis," noting that "the Ministry of Water Resources is awaiting the arrival of water releases from Turkey, in addition to expectations for a season." “Rainy with floods in the western regions.”
