Al-Muslimawy said in an interview with Al-Sumaria News, “The postponement of voting on this law came because of two things. The first (fundamental) is the merging of three bodies with positions and privileges in one location, and thus the other locations will lose their officials.”

He pointed out that "this merger faced objections and caused most representatives to refuse to approve this law and to spread a rumor that the provisions of the law were not serious. He added, "The second is (formal), due to the size and number of legal articles contained within this law, as it includes 26 pages. This calls for a special session to approve it and to read all the legal articles to be legislated correctly."

He continued, "The parliamentary health and higher education committees are key to this law, given that there are articles related to the spread of the sale of technological weapons, and they are affiliated with the Ministry of Higher Education in the recent merger."

Earlier, the House of Representatives decided to postpone voting on the draft law on the National Nuclear, Radiological, Chemical and Biological Regulatory Authority.
