Today, Saturday, a member of the State of Law coalition, Saad Al-Muttalabi, revealed the reasons behind the delay in completing projects in the governorates.

Al-Muttalabi said in a statement to Al-Maalouma, “The delay in releasing funds for governorate projects is due to several reasons, foremost of which are the complications imposed by the Ministry of Planning to allow the Ministry of Finance to release project funds, as well as other reasons.”
He added, "The problem that the governorates, other than the governorates of the region, are suffering from is the delay in disbursing project funds because the Ministry of Planning does not allow the Ministry of Finance to release the funds until after completing a series of complex procedures."
Al-Muttalabi pointed out that "a series of complex procedures put in place by the Ministry of Planning dating back to 2019 have caused suffering in the central and southern governorates."
He pointed out that "another reason for delaying the release of project funds is the mismanagement of many governorates, which creates anxiety among the government about approving the disbursement of funds."
A member of the Parliamentary Economy and Investment Committee, MP Muhammad Al-Zayadi, criticized the Ministry of Finance for obstructing the launch of investment financial allocations in the tripartite budget for the governorates, indicating that this was reflected negatively by obstructing the completion of projects.
