The factions' drones and missiles bomb the camps and the framework in embarrassment!

Baghdad/ Tamim Al-Hassan
The government and the coordination framework are trying to find a balance between its positions and the actions of the factions that officially announced the start of targeting US forces’ bases in Iraq due to the “Gaza” events.
It is expected that these operations will expand to include new locations, likely to be diplomatic representations, after an “implicit truce” in which the bombing operations stopped, which lasted for nearly a year and coincided with the “Frame” taking power.
The factions launched 4 attacks against 3 sites in 3 days, carried out using 5 marches and a number of missiles, one of which was launched from inside the capital, Baghdad, towards a headquarters near the international airport.
There is great confusion in the positions of the Shiite forces regarding these events, as it may become difficult to separate the bombing operations from political action, due to the association of some factions with parties participating in the government.
This comes at a time when supporters of the leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, and armed groups arrived at the Jordanian border, with the former announcing an open sit-in in support of “Gaza.”
Baghdad is actively diplomatically involved in the war between Hamas and Israel, even though it is not one of the confrontation countries, as the Prime Minister arrived in Cairo yesterday to attend an emergency Egyptian summit on these events.
Shiite sources tell Al-Mada that “the current situation is very sensitive” after armed groups began targeting the bases of Ain al-Assad, Baghdad Airport, and Harir in Erbil with a number of marches and missiles.
According to these sources, who requested to remain anonymous, some parties in Baghdad fear “the occurrence of American sanctions” due to the implementation of these groups and their threat to target Western interests in Iraq.
Defense Minister Thabet Al-Abbasi arrived suddenly on Friday at Ain Al-Asad base, west of Anbar, after two attacks by five drones that resulted in the death of an American contractor of “cardiac arrest,” according to the US Department of Defense.
On the same night that the base, which houses the largest number of American forces in Iraq, was bombed, American sources reported that “a missile attack occurred on American and coalition forces at the Baghdad Diplomatic Support Center, near Baghdad International Airport, on Friday, at approximately 2:50 am, according to Local time.”
The initial assessment indicated that two missiles were launched, the first was intercepted by the anti-missile system (SERAM), while the other hit an empty storage facility, while no injuries were recorded.
Security sources reported that a missile base was found inside a dirt square within the Al-Jihad neighborhood, close to Baghdad Airport.
On the other hand, a group calling itself “Al-Warithin” claimed responsibility for targeting the Harir base in Erbil, with a drone.
She said in a brief statement, “As part of operations to support (Al-Aqsa Flood), the American occupation base in northern Iraq (Al-Harir Base) was targeted by a drone.”
Shiite and Iraqi sources close to Washington indicate that “there are intermediaries to prevent the targeting of factions inside Iraq or those located on the border with Syria.”
The Iraqi groups participating in the escalation against Israel are being described as “militias outside of authority,” to differentiate from the Popular Mobilization Forces, and not to hold Baghdad responsible for what is happening, even though some of these groups are affiliated with figures involved in the government.
Issam Hussein, a researcher in political affairs, who is considered close to the Sadrist movement, considered that the “Frame”’s demonstrations (the Shiite alliance organized protests in support of Gaza last Friday in Baghdad) is a message to Washington that the Shiite alliance “deals peacefully with the events in Palestine.”
As for the missiles fired at the camps, “they do not represent the point of view of the peaceful framework, but rather represent a group that did not enter into the agreement to form the government,” according to what Hussein said.
Shiite sources expect that missile attacks will escalate, after a year of calm, “and this time they may include the US embassy and the embassies of other Western countries.”
A week ago, the government tightened procedures around embassies in Baghdad, with those close to the factions announcing the possibility of targeting diplomatic missions of foreign countries that support Israel.
With Washington’s announcement of sending aircraft carriers to the Mediterranean Sea and 2,000 soldiers, the so-called “Iraqi Resistance Coordination” announced the formation of a joint operations room to support the “Al-Aqsa Flood.” According to electronic platforms.
Amer Al-Fayez, one of the leaders of the Shiite framework, says that the Iraqi armed factions “are not subject to the control of the government,” and in statements to local agencies, he considered, “If (the factions) wanted to escalate their military operations in conjunction with the Battle of Al-Aqsa Flood, the Iraqi government would be embarrassed.”
The military spokesman for the Hezbollah Brigades, Jaafar al-Husseini, said, “The Americans are essential partners in killing the residents of the Gaza Strip, and therefore they must bear the consequences,” noting that the Brigades, from today, “practically began the resistance in Iraq by directing its strikes at American bases.”
Al-Husseini announced, quoting the Lebanese Al-Manar channel, which is close to Hezbollah, that “operations will continue at a higher pace,” adding that “the Americans know very well the capabilities of the Iraqi resistance, which have multiplied for some time, and today we are at a stage capable of striking all American bases in Iraq.”
In addition, pictures and video clips on the Iraqi-Jordanian border showed that the protesters began setting up tents, after Al-Sadr’s request to support “Gaza,” and supporters of the factions who also arrived there chanted slogans in support of the Lebanese Hezbollah.
In a tweet last Thursday, the leader of the Sadrist movement called on the Arab and Islamic peoples to sit in on the borders with Palestine, before he condemned in a second tweet “the displacement of the Palestinian people to Sinai, Anbar, the Negev, or anything else at all.”
In response to Al-Sadr, Muhammad Al-Halbousi, Speaker of Parliament, rejected what he said were “suspicious agendas” that wanted to tamper with Anbar, even though it is not yet clear who was involved in the events in Gaza.
Al-Halbousi said in a tweet, “Anbar will remain Iraq’s western gateway and its fortress, and its honest people will not allow its homeland to be a scene for implementing the suspicious and unacceptable agendas of those who try to tamper with its security, and those that target the hopes of our Palestinian Arab people to establish their state with Holy Jerusalem as its capital.”
Diplomatically, Prime Minister Muhammad al-Sudani said that Iraq would not delay “providing any possible assistance” for the reconstruction of Gaza.
He added during his speech at the Cairo emergency summit on the situation in Palestine, which was held in the Egyptian capital, “If international resolutions had been respected and international bodies assumed their responsibilities, the Palestinian issue would not have reached these tragic conditions.”
Al-Sudani strongly rejected “the attempts to empty the Gaza Strip of its people,” calling for “an immediate ceasefire and the opening of the border crossings.”
Yesterday morning, Saturday, Al-Sudani arrived at the headquarters of the Cairo Peace Summit, designated to discuss the current situation in the Palestinian territories.
