    The Parliamentary Services and Reconstruction Committee, headed by Ali Al-Hamidawi, Chairman of the Committee, and in the presence of its members, hosted the Governor of Nineveh, Najm Al-Jubouri, and the advanced staff in the governorate , today.
    The committee stated, in a statement received by Al-Hayat News, that: “The hosting dealt with studying the projects of the Reconstruction Fund for areas affected by terrorist operations and the emergency food security projects that are expected to be launched after the approval of the Ministry of Planning, and the administrative structure of the governorate, in addition to the progress of project work and supervision.” According to its description, locations, and scheduled duration, the most important of which are the six hospitals and research centers affiliated with the university, which were completed before the entry of ISIS and were damaged as a result of terrorism.
    She added, “Also, the speculative budget, to avoid its harm, is to be activated after liberation, which requires treatment and coordination with the relevant authorities in the health and education sectors to transfer it and release it for treatment and put it within the reach of the Mosulian citizen.”
    She pointed out, “Continuation of research during the meeting on the file of the city of Mosul airport, the controls imposed, the details of the technical university’s contract and its jurisdiction, a study of the estimated costs of the runway for the airport project, And a study of the problem of the topography of the land by the advisory office for the Corniche project.”
    She added, “Where members of the Services and Reconstruction Committee asked about the financial, technical, and engineering reasons and obstacles, and the disparity in the completion rates of projects on the left and right sides, and the completed internal bridge projects for the city and the delayed ones, and the issue of increased costs for some of them, and the reasons for the increase according to technical opinion, and the need to legislate a law with specific controls for reconstruction.” In the old area, new Mosul projects are lagging behind.”
    The committee called for “disclosing the lagging projects and contracts in the various service sectors, the projects in which work has been withdrawn, and the projects prepared within the 2023 budget for all service departments and administrative units of the city of Mosul, based on the Supervisory role of the Parliamentary Services and Reconstruction Committee, with the aim of evaluating, reforming, avoiding corruption, and reducing the extent of damage to state institutions.” “.
