    The General Passports Directorate in the Ministry of Interior has set today, Wednesday, next March 2024, as the date to stop issuing the regular passport, confirming its continued adoption by countries around the world.

    He pointed out that “there are great efforts being made by the directorate to convert as many of its departments as possible to work with the electronic passport system,” noting that “there are 22 departments that are still working with the regular passport.
