Baghdad: Rula Wathiq,
the General Company for Automotive Trade in the Ministry of Commerce intends to introduce environmentally friendly Chinese and Korean car models.
The Ministry’s spokesman, Muthanna Jabbar, said in an interview with “Al-Sabah”: “The Ministry’s General Company for Automotive Trade is determined to introduce Chinese and Korean models of environmentally friendly hybrid and electric cars.”
He added, "This issue has been agreed upon and approved by the company's Board of Directors and through the Board of Directors, and it is in the process of negotiating with many companies that specialize in this field."
Jabbar stated that “the Iraqi consumer is accustomed to certain brands of cars that he relies on when purchasing, and that the introduction of new brands requires introductions, including advertising and experience,” explaining that “the General Company for Car Trading is going in this direction, which is introducing environmentally friendly cars from dual-performance cars that operate with mechanical engines.” Sometimes fuel and sometimes electricity.”
