On the sidelines of his participation in the opening of the EDEX 2023 defense and military industries exhibition held in Egypt, the head of the Military Industrialization Authority, Mustafa Ati Hassan, held meetings with the Ministry of Pavilions of participating countries, while Arab and international companies expressed their willingness to cooperate with Iraq in the field of military industries.
The Authority stated in a statement, seen by Al-Iqtisad News, that “in response to the invitation addressed to him, the Chairman of the Military Industrialization Authority will participate in the opening of the EDEX 2023 exhibition for defense and military industries with the heads of Arab and international delegations and under the auspices of the President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, who will be staying in Cairo for the period.” From 11 - 12/14/2023.”
She added, "On the sidelines of his participation and the accompanying delegation, the Chairman of the Military Industrialization Authority met with the Egyptian Minister of State for Military Production, Mohamed Salah El-Din, to discuss the prospects for joint cooperation between the two countries. During the meeting, the Egyptian Minister expressed his thanks for accepting the invitation and presented the Chairman of the Authority with the shield of the Egyptian Ministry of Military Production."
The statement continued, "The Chairman of the Military Industrialization Authority and his accompanying delegation visited a number of pavilions of Arab and foreign countries participating in the exhibition to discuss opportunities for joint cooperation, and many Arab and international companies expressed their willingness to cooperate with Iraq in the field of military industries due to the high confidence in the support provided by the Iraqi government headed by the Prime Minister." Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani to establish industrial partnerships to transfer and localize military and civil industry technology.
