The President of the Republic stresses to the Minister of Defense the necessity of securing the borders and raising the capabilities of the fighters

{Politics: Al-Furat News} The President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Gamal Rashid, stressed today, Wednesday, the necessity of securing the borders and raising the capabilities of the fighters.
The media office of the President of the Republic stated in a statement received by {Al-Furat News} that "the latter received Defense Minister Thabet Muhammad al-Abbasi, and during the meeting, they discussed the importance of continuing the momentum of military operations against hotbeds of terrorism to preserve the security achievements achieved and to consolidate security and stability in the country."
He stressed "the necessity of securing the borders and raising the capabilities of fighters by putting them in training courses and equipping them with the latest military equipment," pointing to "the importance of benefiting from the expertise of advanced countries militarily and technologically."
In turn, the Minister of Defense reviewed the efforts made by the Ministry in proactive operations to pursue ISIS remnants and establish security in the governorates and cities of Iraq. The Minister also reviewed the Ministry’s future plans to develop the fighters’ military capabilities in training and equipment.
