    [rtl]Baghdad - Iraq Today:

An informed parliamentary source revealed that the list drawn up by Iraq to recover wanted persons and money smuggled from the United States included former Minister of Electricity Ayham Al-Samarrai. [/rtl]
[rtl]The source said in a press interview, “One of the people wanted by the Iraqi judiciary and the fugitive to the United States of America, who holds its nationality, Ayham Al-Samarrai, will be among the figures that Iraq seeks to recover within the file of recovering wanted persons and money smuggled abroad.” He added, "The stolen money in Al-Samarrai's possession is estimated at more than 6 billion dollars." It is noteworthy that Al-Samarrai was arrested during the year 2006 when he was serving as Minister of Electricity due to financial corruption cases. [/rtl]
[rtl]The leader of the State of Law coalition, Saad Al-Muttalabi, had previously stated that Al-Samarrai escaped from prison to the United States with the help of American forces. Member of the Parliamentary Integrity Committee, Ali Turki, confirmed that Iraq is determined to recover the fugitives and the money stolen from the United States after a meeting and coordination between the head of the Integrity Commission, Judge Haider Hanoun, and the US Treasury delegation.[/rtl]
