The government media team announced on Sunday that the Christmas holiday for next Monday and Tuesday will be for the Christian community only.
Spokesman for the government media team, Haider Majeed, said in a press statement: “Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani directed during the regular session of the Council of Ministers that the 25th and 26th of this December be an official holiday for citizens of the Christian component only, on the occasion of the glorious Christmas holidays.”
He added, "The state departments will have official working hours for the next Monday and Tuesday for the rest of the components, with the exception of the children of the Christian component."
