The Ministry of Construction, Housing and Public Municipalities will launch, next January, the last two projects of the first package to relieve traffic congestion.
The ministry’s official spokesman, Istabraq Sabah, told Al-Sabah that the first package to relieve traffic congestion includes 19 projects, 17 of which were launched in different areas of Karkh and Rusafa, while two remaining projects will begin work on next January, namely the Zaha Bridge project. Steel extending from the approaches to Abu Nawas Street, towards the Central Bank, to the Al-Qadisiyah area, while the other project will be the Al-Masafi Bridge, which includes connecting the two-story bridge to its suspended counterpart, with the construction of a tunnel in Al-Hasanein Square in the Karrada area, indicating that the ministry is now in the process of selecting
Suitable companies for implementation.
