    The Ministry of Defense announced, on Monday, the opening of the door for volunteering in the Air Force Command.
    The Ministry said in a statement, seen by Al-Iqtisad News, that “The Ministry of Defence/Naval Force Command/Arabian Gulf Academy for Maritime Studies invites graduates of the preparatory school (scientific) branch to apply to the (Maritime College), and graduates of the middle school to apply to the (Center). Naval Vocational Training), on the website of the Iraqi Ministry of Defense and its affiliated platforms, for the period from January 16, 2024 to January 19, 2024, through the link below:

    The statement added, “The conditions for admission to the Naval College are:
    1- The applicant must be Iraqi and have Iraqi parents.
    2- He must have a preparatory certificate (scientific stream), provided that his general average is not less than (65%) if he wishes to study in the Department of Marine Sciences, and his average is not less than (75%) if he wishes to study in the Department of Marine Engineering Sciences.
    3- The student applying for admission must have a score of not less than (75) for both physics and mathematics for students wishing to study in the Department of Marine Engineering Sciences.
    4- His age should not be less than (17) years and not more than (21) years.
    5- He must have good morals and good conduct, and his loyalty and affiliation must be to the homeland and the people.
    6- He must meet health safety requirements in accordance with the controls approved by the Directorate of Medical Affairs.
    7- He must pass the academy’s physical fitness examination and psychological and intelligence tests.
    8- The applicant for the Maritime College must pass the interview conducted by the interview committee.
    9- The applicant must not have previously been dismissed, withdrawn from any course at the Naval College, appointed, or deserted from the army.
    10- The applicant for study must not have been convicted of a felony or misdemeanor against moral turpitude or proven to have participated in terrorist acts.
    11- The applicant for study must not belong to any movement, party or organization.
    12- The applicant pledges to serve in the armed forces for a period of no less than (20) years if he wishes to study at the expense of the Navy, and to serve in governmental civil institutions for a period of no less than (15) years if he wishes to study at its expense.
    The statement explained that “the conditions for admission to the Maritime Vocational Training Center are:
    1- The applicant must be Iraqi and have Iraqi parents.
    2- He must have an (intermediate) study certificate, provided that his general average is not less than (65%).
    3- He must not be less than (15) years old and not more than (20) years old.
    4- He must have good morals and good conduct, and his loyalty and affiliation must be to the country and the people.
    5- He must meet health safety requirements in accordance with the controls approved by the Directorate of Medical Affairs.
    6- He must pass the academy’s physical fitness examination and the psychological and intelligence test.
    7- The applicant for the Maritime Vocational Training Center must pass the interview conducted by the committee.
    8- The applicant must not have previously been dismissed, withdrawn from any course at the Naval Vocational Training Center, appointed, or deserted from the army.
    9- The applicant must not have been convicted of a felony or misdemeanor involving moral turpitude or proven involvement in terrorist acts.
    10- The applicant must not belong to any movement, party or organization.
    Documents required for applicants to study at the Arabian Gulf Academy for Maritime Studies (Maritime College and Vocational Training Center) for the academic year 2023-2024
    1- Application form from the website, with a personal photo attached.
    2- The original and photocopied national card + the original and photocopied residence card + housing endorsement.
    3- Graduation confirmation with grades certified by the Ministry of Education.
    4- Martyrdom support from the Martyrs Foundation exclusively for the children of martyrs.
    5- Install the mobile number with a backup number.
    6- Place all the above documents in a plastic file as follows:
    a. Blue color - Naval College.
    B. Yellow color - Maritime Vocational Training Center.
