On Thursday, Baghdad Governorate carried out a campaign to cover a number of main, subsidiary and secondary roads in the districts and districts of the outskirts of Baghdad.
The governorate said in a statement, seen by Al-Iqtisad News, that “the engineering staff in the Municipal Affairs Department, in accordance with the directives of the Governor of Baghdad, Abdul Muttalib Al-Alawi, have begun implementing projects for covering the main and secondary roads in the districts of Sama Al-Kadhimiya and Al-Zawraa, and the districts of Al-Wahda, Al-Nahrawan, Al-Mamoun, and the Peace Gate within the Abu Ghraib district.” ".
The statement added, “The cladding operations included the Al-Hamidiyah area in Al-Zawraa district, in addition to the construction of rainwater drainage networks,” pointing out that “in the Sama Al-Kadhimiya district, the governorate’s staff achieved advanced completion rates in the cladding operations of the 432 agricultural locality, Al-Ghaz Al-Dulai Street, and the areas of Al-Dahwi and Al-Qadiri Endowment.” The work also included covering the muqarnas on the sides of the roads.”
The statement indicated that “the governorate’s staff has completed 50 percent of the cladding operations of the main Tal Aswad neighborhood street in the Al-Ma’moun district, and a number of streets in the Nahrawan district and the village of Ashra in the Al-Wahda district, achieving advanced completion rates in cladding the roads of the areas and villages of Al-Suwaikhan, Al-Ma’ameer, Al-Zawda, and Shaher, Al-Muftiya, and Al-Khalifa streets in Peace Gate area.
The statement stressed, "These projects come based on an integrated plan for Baghdad Governorate to include the largest possible number of main, subsidiary, and secondary streets throughout the capital's regions with services and cladding operations in accordance with the required specifications to serve the people of those areas."
The statement added, “The cladding operations included the Al-Hamidiyah area in Al-Zawraa district, in addition to the construction of rainwater drainage networks,” pointing out that “in the Sama Al-Kadhimiya district, the governorate’s staff achieved advanced completion rates in the cladding operations of the 432 agricultural locality, Al-Ghaz Al-Dulai Street, and the areas of Al-Dahwi and Al-Qadiri Endowment.” The work also included covering the muqarnas on the sides of the roads.”
The statement indicated that “the governorate’s staff has completed 50 percent of the cladding operations of the main Tal Aswad neighborhood street in the Al-Ma’moun district, and a number of streets in the Nahrawan district and the village of Ashra in the Al-Wahda district, achieving advanced completion rates in cladding the roads of the areas and villages of Al-Suwaikhan, Al-Ma’ameer, Al-Zawda, and Shaher, Al-Muftiya, and Al-Khalifa streets in Peace Gate area.
