Mawazine News - Baghdad

The Parliamentary Security and Defense Committee revealed that the date for voting on the National Security Apparatus law is approaching this week, indicating that all obstacles facing the law, including the Kurdistan region, have been resolved.
Committee member, Mohammed Al-Rumaithi, explained in an interview with the official newspaper, followed by Mawazine News, that “the laws are based on political agreements between the components,” adding that “the National Security Law was read on the first and second reading and was discussed in preparation for voting on it, and we will try to present it this week.”

Al-Rumaithi added, “One of the features of the National Security Law is that the agency will work according to a law organized and voted on by the legislative authority. These are features that protect the agency’s employees, in addition to the fact that the provisions of the law will include a career ladder,” pointing out that “the agency has no career ladder or other conditions.” To head departments and managers, calculate years of service, and determine powers, tasks, and main structure.
