Minister of Health, Saleh Mahdi Al-Hasnawi, approved the proposal to grant the kidney donor free health insurance for life.
According to a document issued by the Ministry on the 22nd of this month of April and obtained by “Baghdad Today”, “With regard to granting the donor of his kidney free comprehensive health insurance for life, we would like to point out that the proposal submitted by the respected MP Haider Muhammad Kadhim Al-Mutairi has been included in the draft First Amendment.” Health Insurance Law No. 22 of 2020 includes a legal text specifically exempting the donor from all fees for health services, monthly installments, and lifetime subscriptions.
