    [rtl]The Ministry of Water Resources announced, on Monday, that the Baghdad International Water Conference discussed three main axes, while confirming that the international community supports Iraq’s efforts regarding the water file.[/rtl]
     
    [rtl]Director General of the General Authority for Irrigation and Reclamation Projects in the Ministry, Khaled Shamal, said in a statement followed by “Al-Eqtisad News” that “the Fourth Baghdad Water Conference is an international opportunity for the Ministry of Water Resources and for Iraq in general, to present water files and the files of Iraqi water security and food security, in addition to all the outstanding files, including Technical and diplomatic files,” indicating that “the delegations and personalities who attended the conference are high-ranking figures associated with water management, whether in Iraq or the world, as well as international organizations and academic organizations.”[/rtl]
     
    [rtl]Shamal added, “The conference discussed three important axes. The first is water management, the second is Iraq’s historical, geographical and national rights in the Tigris and Euphrates, and the other issue is diplomatic related to the relationship with neighboring countries and how to invest these efforts to obtain rights.”[/rtl]

    [rtl]He continued, "The international community is supportive of Iraq's efforts, as the presence of the Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, was exceptional, and the relevant diplomatic delegations that attended the conference, international figures, and civil society organizations are all supportive of Iraq's efforts," pointing out that "experience will be benefited from." "Accumulated in the field of international water management, as well as in the field of conflict and dispute management, to overcome all difficulties to push Iraq towards bilateral agreement with neighboring countries to guarantee its historical rights to water."[/rtl]
