A member of the National Anti-Narcotics Team of the Iraqi National Security Advisory, Haider al-Quraishi, said that Iraq, because of its location, has been subjected to a series of attacks, including drugs.
Al-Quraishi pointed out during a televised interview that Iraq has become a center for drug smuggling, smuggling, importing and exporting drugs.
He added: Iraq is facing a major drug attack, and the security forces are aware of the dangers of this attack and are working seriously to confront it.
The member of the National Anti-Narcotics Team pointed out that Iraq ranks 32nd among the countries where drugs are widespread, which is an unfortunate rank, but it is real and may get worse.
Al-Quraishi confirmed that the main reason for the spread of the drug threat in Iraq is “the neglect of this issue over the past years.”
