    [rtl]Baghdad - Iraq today:[/rtl]
[rtl]The representative of the Al-Hasam Alliance, Zulekha Al-Bakkar, confirmed that representatives from the Taqadum Party, led by Muhammad Al-Halbousi, have joined the Al-Hassa Alliance, while indicating that her alliance may compete with “Taqadum” for the position of Speaker of Parliament.

Al-Bakkar said in a press interview, “There are representatives of the Progress Alliance who joined the Resolution Alliance, during the last meeting in the house of Representative Shalan Al-Karim.”

She added, “The Decisive Alliance could be a competitor to the Taqadum Party after increasing the number of its members,” noting that “The Decisive Alliance includes more than 20 deputies.”

The representative for Al-Hasam indicated that “the issue of choosing the Speaker of the House of Representatives is an issue for the entire component and is not limited to one party or another, but according to the entitlement that was agreed upon in advance, it is the share of the Taqadum Party.”

Sunni leaders held a meeting in Shaalan Al-Karim's house in Salah al-Din, devoted to discussing political affairs.

A statement from the Sovereignty Party stated, “Shalan Al-Karim received in his host in the Makishifa district of Salah al-Din the head of the Sovereignty Party, Khamis al-Khanjar, the head of the Azm Alliance, Muthanna al-Samarrai, the head of the National Masses Party, Ahmed al-Jubouri (Abu Mazen), and a number of representatives and political figures.”[/rtl]
