The Economy and Investment Committee in the Iraqi Parliament confirmed that any targeting of the economy, whether in the north or south, affects the country’s imports.
Committee member Zahra Al-Bajari said in a televised interview that “Iraqi resources are supposed to go to the Ministry of Finance for the purpose of distributing them to the budgets.”
Al-Bajari added, “Any targeting of the country’s oil fields, whether in southern or northern Iraq, negatively affects the Iraqi economy’s imports in general.”[/rtl]
