The Ministry of Planning has completed the five-year national development plan 2024-2028, which will focus on important aspects of the general conditions surrounding society.
The Ministry's official spokesman, Abdul Zahra Al-Hindawi, explained to Al-Sabah that the committee headed by the Ministry's Technical Undersecretary completed the entire five-year development plan and submitted it to the Council of Ministers for approval and implementation, indicating that the Ministry took into account in preparing the strategy the challenges and risks that it may face during The next five years.
He added that the Ministry focused on the climate aspect because of its extreme importance, as the whole world is suffering from climate change, noting that Iraq is one of the countries most affected by these changes, such as the scarcity of rain and the lack of water imports that have led to desertification, which can cast a shadow on vulnerable groups in society.
Al-Hindawi pointed out that the strategy will also move towards exploiting clean energy, relying on solar energy, as well as using modern irrigation methods in agriculture to prevent water waste.
