Integrity Commission at the Arab Anti-Corruption Convention Conference

The fifth session of the Conference of the States Parties to the Arab Convention against Corruption is scheduled to be held tomorrow, Tuesday, at the headquarters of the Arab League in Cairo.
Iraq is represented in the session held by the Legal Affairs Department of the League of Arab States, the head of the Integrity Commission, Judge Haider Hanoun, in order to enhance cooperation in the fight against corruption. Preparations for the conference began yesterday, Sunday, to set the main items for discussion at the level of heads of bodies in Arab countries.
The conference discusses a number of important topics, including following up on the implementation of the decisions issued by the Fourth Conference of States Parties to the Arab Convention against Corruption, which was held in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in addition to discussing the report and recommendations of the meeting of the committee composed of government experts.
Iraq had signed the Arab Anti-Corruption Convention in 2012, and it was published in the Iraqi Gazette in 2013 and became a member of the agreement.
