The Ministry of Oil, represented by the Petroleum Products Distribution Company, announced today, Monday, the recovery of more than 950 million dinars as a result of the seizure of approximately 3 million liters of fuel intended for smuggling in various governorates.
The company's general manager, Hussein Talib, said in a statement received by Mawazine News: "The seizure proceeds, during years of work by the company's inspection staff, amounted to approximately 3 million liters of all types of fuel in various governorates."
He stressed, "The Ministry of Oil and the Distribution Company are following up on the smuggling operations of petroleum derivatives, which affect the country's security and manipulate its funds, by recovering them and implementing the national strategy to combat corruption and the scourges of smuggling."
For his part, the Director of the Inspection Authority, Alaa Adnan Mahmoud, stressed that “the company will continue through the preparation of strategic organized plans by the inspection staff to follow up on smuggling operations everywhere and pursue fuel smuggling gangs.
He revealed the types of petroleum products that were seized, their quantities and their amounts as follows.” Next:
- Gasoline: approximately (700) thousand liters,
the amount is approximately (317) million dinars
- Gas oil: more than (725) thousand liters,
the amount: approximately (303) million dinars
- White oil: more than (one million and 300 thousand) Amount
: approximately (303) million dinars
- Black oil: approximately (348) thousand liters -
Amount: approximately (35) million dinars
- Diesel: approximately (55) thousand liters
Amount: approximately (7) million dinars
- Damaged oils: approximately (166) thousand liters.
Amount: more than (33) million dinars.
- Miscellaneous petroleum derivatives such as (fuel oil, oils, unknown products, gas cylinders): more than (2000) liters
- Amount: approximately (3) Millions of dinars
