    Baghdad today - Baghdad
Today, Thursday (May 9, 2024), the Federal Integrity Commission announced the results of a questionnaire on bribery in real estate registration departments.
The authority stated in a statement received by “Baghdad Today” that “the rate of bribery is 24% in Iraq, and the Al-Karkh real estate is the second highest in Baghdad,” indicating that “the Al-Qasim real estate in Babylon recorded the highest rate of bribery among the governorates.”
She added, "Over a period of three months, 57 departments were visited and the opinions of 7,225 auditors were sought," noting "the call to shorten redundant episodes to eliminate bureaucracy."

She noted that "the loss of property ownership files and the slowness of the Real Estate Registration Directorate in addressing the delay were identified."
