Immigration: The displacement file will be closed next July 30

The Ministry of Immigration and Displacement announced the continuation of registration as part of the voluntary return to close the displacement file on the scheduled date of next July 30.
The ministry's official spokesman, Ali Abbas Jhakir, told Al-Sabah: The ministry is continuously supplying the camps with aid, and there is no glitch.
He explained that aid is distributed extensively among families living in the camps, noting that the Ministry continues to implement the voluntary return plan for the displaced and rejects their house arrest in the camps.
Jhakir noted that closing the displacement camps on the scheduled date of next July 30 is one of the most important steps that the ministry is currently implementing, as the voluntary return of many families has been recorded during the past period, with the continued registration of those wishing to return who still live in Kurdistan camps.
On a related level, a member of the Parliamentary Immigration and Community Reconciliation Committee, Sharif Suleiman, told “Al-Sabah”: The camps for the displaced in Kurdistan are witnessing a crisis in providing the needs of the displaced, as there are unusable and expired materials being distributed by the concerned authorities among the displaced, which requires Immediate government intervention.
He added that the situation of the displaced in the camps is deplorable, stressing that the committee had previously monitored such types of aid being distributed between the camps, calling on the Ministry of Immigration and Displacement to address the health, educational and other situation in the camps.
