Revealed to the Committee on Agriculture and Water in Parliament, on Wednesday, for holding several meetings with the ministers of agriculture and water resources, as well as the competent committees for the advancement of the agricultural sector.
The committee member said Abboud Wahid's / scales News /, "Through these meetings have been developing plans to revive the agricultural sector by emphasizing the procedures required such as the adoption law to lease farmland, supporting farmers with limited income, and activating the agricultural initiative, and facilitate the Agricultural Bank measures" noting that "in spite of the development of these plans, but it needs a long time and many funds for the advancement of this sector due to the lack of financial Alsaullac".
He added a single, that "of the reasons for the agricultural side deterioration due to water scarcity, as there are no binding agreements with Turkey concerning the headwaters of the Tigris and Euphrates, and there are also dams need to re-maintenance, and the security and political situation has a role in the deterioration of agriculture," stressing that "The state must sponsor the peasants and prevent the import of agricultural crops, and activating the customs tariff and to support local agriculture."
