Vice President Nuri al-Maliki receives New Zealand's ambassador to Iraq

Vice President Nuri al-Maliki received at his office today New Zealand's ambassador to Iraq, Mr. James Monroe. During the meeting, they discussed progress of the bilateral relations between Iraq and New Zealand and practical ways to consolidate in various fields. Maliki reiterated the importance of relations between Iraq and New Zealand and the necessity of cementing for the peoples of the two interest friendly countries, adding that New Zealand's attitudes important support for Iraq and in favor of its issues, particularly in the area of the war on terror. For his part, Ambassador James Monroe said his country is looking to establish better relations with Iraq and invest them in the interests of the two friendly peoples, adding that New Zealand values the role of Iraq and support in its war against Daash gangs
