The head of parliament Salim al-Jubouri, the need to provide the necessary support for Iraq militarily and economically to face the current challenges, while presented a detailed explanation of the mechanisms and means to defeat terrorist groups.
The speaker's office said in a statement received by The Independent on Wednesday that "al-Jubouri met during a seminar held at the Council on Foreign Relations in America a number of senior American politicians and researchers," noting that he "accept it with political and security files private in Iraq."
He added that "al-Jubouri, gave a detailed explanation of the mechanisms and means to defeat terrorist groups, in addition to working on building a democratic state," adding that he "stressed the need to provide the necessary support for Iraq militarily and economically to face the current challenges."
