Sideeq criticizes MPs’ statements over Iraqi Jewish Archive during their visit to US

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) -MP, Bakir Hama Sideeq, head of Parlaimentary Tourism and Antiquities Committee criticized the statements of some MPs who visited the US recently over the Iraqi Jewish Archive.
A delegation headed by MP, Khalid Shwani, visited the US recently and met the officials who are responsible for rehabilitating the Archive.
“I respect MPs’ opinions over any case,” he assured, but he criticized MPs’ statements over the Archive, stressing “These MPs are not specialized in this field and they were not an official delegation.”
“All the specialists in this field confirm that the Archive is not brought back to Iraq yet,” he mentioned.
He criticized “The parliament chairmanship for its repeated refusal for sending an official delegation to the US to be acquainted with the status of the stolen Archive.”
“We called the parliament chairmanship several times to send a delegation to the US over this issue but our calls were rejected,” he concluded.
