Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) -The First Deputy Speaker of the Iraqi parliament, Qusai al-Sihail, discussed with a delegation comprising leaders of the Bahraini Accord Movement headed by Sheikh Ali Salman, the political situation in Iraq, Bahrain and the region.
A statement by Sihail’s media office reported on Monday “Sihail received Salman and his accompanying delegation on sidelines of the International Islamic Conference for Convergence being held in Baghdad where they discussed a number of mutual issues.”
“Both sides stressed the necessity to stick to dialogue and the convergence among the Bahraini sides,” according to the statement.
“Sihail expressed his concern over the situation in Bahrain and the handcuff of freedoms and the campaign of arrests launched from time to time against the sons of the Bahraini revolution,” the statement concluded.
