    Embarked on a government commission to investigate the decades lagging behind and where suspicions of corruption for two projects worth in excess of more than billion dollars.
    A statement by the Ministry of Planning Agency has received all of Iraq [where] a copy of it, "Planning Minister Salman Jumaili presided over the first meeting of the Ministerial Committee formed by the Council of Ministers for consideration of government investment contracts believed to be a waste of public money or the reluctance or suspicions of corruption." 
    The statement pointed out that "the Committee discussed at its first draft rehabilitation of iron and steel plant in the province of Basra by the Turkish company for the Ministry of Industry and Minerals." 
    He pointed out that "the said contract was concluded in 2012 as an investment project worth $ 700 million and be qualified for 3 years and the investment period of 18 years and by a production rate of 900,000 tonnes per year, but the project has seen delay in completion." 
    The committee recommended after knowing the merits of the project, according to the statement, "hosted by the Inspector General of the Ministry of Industry to learn more details about the project as well as access to the technical and economic feasibility study for the rehabilitation of the iron and steel production plant in Basra." 
    The Ministerial Committee opened its meeting "of Najaf, the capital of Islamic Culture project, which was included in the investment plan in 2012 worth 572 billion dinars, and includes the construction of the Palace of Culture and the two hotels and the rehabilitation of a number of streets and other details of the file." 
    The Committee decided to "demand from the Integrity Committee in Najaf provincial council in Najaf provide all Protozoa related to the project to be studied in-depth about and make recommendations about, the Committee will continue Ajtmaatha to open a lot of other project files."
