General Company for Iron and Steel demanded in Basra, the oil companies operating withthe South Oil Company , the adoption of domestic production, saying that output within international standards.
The director of the spiral pipe plant Hussein Faleh Hussein said in a statement seen by theagency of our economy news, the "iron pipe plant of the General Company for Iron and Steel moved into actual production stage and within international standards and produce high - quality after the entry of German machine for cleaning work and Iraqi cadres 100% . " .
Pointing out that " the plant is suffering from a lack of orders for the production and marketing of the pipeline and the adoption of the oil companies operating in Basra on similar foreign product imported for local production specifications and quality required."
Noting that " the partnership contract with the Kuwaiti pipeline company will contribute tothe training of technical and engineering personnel in Kuwait and get a global examination certificates and ISO Lalai NBA in addition to spare parts."
He called general manager of the General Company for Iron and Steel Abbas about Maliki across Mrbd Speaking to the local government in Basra to compel the South Oil Company contracted with the company for the purpose of providing transport and pipelines that compete with foreign product, and activate special deal with local product decisions.
Noting that "the Ministry of oil imported during the last year from outside Iraq different pipeline worth more than a billion dollars despite announcing contracts with the companyto provide it with the required piping, but the request has not been implemented."
