Headed by Assistant Secretary-General for the ministries and provinces Rahman Issa Hassan meeting organized by the Department of follow-up and government coordination with the relevant authorities in the Ministries 'interior, environment, health, finance, planning, in addition to the National Security Council' to discuss the mechanics of the implementation of the monument gates radiation detection at border crossing points.
He said the Information Office of the Government Communications, in a statement received by the Agency (news) to: that the monument gates was based on a proposal submitted by the Ministry of Environment in order to preserve the health of citizens and as is the case including the case in neighboring countries to control the material entering the country through the border crossings.
He pointed out the office to: the existence of a committee formed in 2012 Baqrarmen National Security Council, where she spent the second paragraph thereof to establish the ability to check radiation in the port of Umm Qasr The meeting addressed also the subject of disclosure of radioactive contaminants of goods entering Iraq approved within the recommendations of the Ministerial Committee for Reconstruction and services.
For its part, the Ministry of the Environment reviewed the obstacles that prevent the implementation of this project and the positive effects that would result if applied and revealed Estimated cost ranging between 250-350 million dinars for each gate.
