[ltr]Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The parliament lifted its regular session of Monday for half an hour due to heated debate between the Speaker, Osama al-Nijaifi and MP of the State of Law Coalition. [/ltr]

[ltr]Informed source at the parliament stated to Iraqi News IraqiNews.com “Heated debate aroused between Niajifi and Mahmoud al-Hassan of the SLC where the Speaker called Hassan to get out of the hall, but the latter did not respond to the request.” [/ltr]

[ltr]“After Hassan refused to respond to his request, Nijaifi decided to make vote on brining Hassan out of the hall and he gained the enough vote, but the MP insisted on attending the session,” according to the source.[/ltr]

[ltr]“Afterwards, The head of the parliament bloc to which Hassan belongs, Khalid al-Atiya, and other MPs from the SLC including Sami al-Askari left the session to protest the vote, and this obliged the Speaker to lift the session until half an hour,” the source added. [/ltr]

[ltr]The source stressed “Nijaifi refused to resume the session until the MP Hassan officially apologizes.” [/ltr]
