Secretariat of the Council of Ministers: draft law on social insurance in the discussion stage

The Secretariat of the Council of Ministers confirmed on Saturday that the bill of social insurance, has not been raised so far to the House of Representatives.
"The draft social insurance law is still in the discussion stage and the government's comments and review," the secretariat said in a statement received by the Journal News.
She added that "the law has not been submitted to the House of Representatives so far, until a suitable formula that achieves the objective is achieved in an equitable, objective and thoughtful."
"It includes private sector employees for the first time in the history of Iraq and guarantees them retirement rights, just like the employees in the state, to achieve social justice because they represent the majority of citizens," she said.
The media office of Prime Minister Haider Abadi said the project includes several branches of social insurance, including retirement, old age, death and work injuries.
