US Defense: 95% of the land in Iraq and Syria has been recovered from a duel

US Defense Secretary James Matisse has confirmed that 95 percent of the territory he controls has been restored in Iraq and Syria.
"95 percent of the land he controls in Iraq and Syria is now liberated," Matisse said in a speech at a coalition meeting at NATO headquarters in the Belgian capital Brussels.
"Mosul, Tal Afar and Hawija were liberated and there is rapid progress in the efforts to liberate the final enclaves of the territory controlled by al-Anbar in Anbar province," he said.
"Two weeks ago, the local coalition partners in Syria liberated al-Raqqa, with the division of a leadership that encouraged and surrendered many supporters," Mattis said earlier.
