Oil prices fall to $ 71
Oil prices fell during Wednesday's trading to $ 71 per barrel, ahead of the release of US stockpiles and the release of US sanctions against Iran.
By 8:35 am GMT, the benchmark Brent crude for January delivery fell 0.2% to $ 71.99 a barrel.
US crude futures for December delivery fell 0.4% to $ 61.94 a barrel.
Since the sharp rise in oil prices last October, Brent and Nymex crude have fallen 17.4 percent and 19.7 percent, respectively.
The US Energy Information Administration (EIA) is due to release data from last week's inventories and production. Finished
