    The Iraqi Ministry of Planning announced on Saturday (December 8, 2018) the signing of three agreements between [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] and the European Union, tomorrow.
    "The agreements are one in the field of mine clearance, the second in the field of energy and the third in support of local administrations in the provinces," ministry spokesman Abdul Zahra al-Hindawi said in a statement.
    He added that "the official signature will be at 8.30 am on Sunday."
    Al-Hindawi called on journalists to attend a press conference on the signing, "will be held by Deputy Prime Minister / Minister of Planning Agency, Fouad Hussein, in conjunction with the representative of the European Union."

    Iraq and the European Union on Sunday signed three agreements worth 72 million euros to support Iraq in the reconstruction of liberated cities, the return of displaced people and the development of the oil sector.
    "We have a strategic partnership agreement for the decentralization and support of the oil sector and for the return of the displaced to their areas after the removal of mines from the areas and the construction of damaged cities," Finance and Planning Minister Fuad Hussein said during a press conference held in the Ministry of Planning,
    For his part, EU Representative Ramon Blakeau said at the conference, "Today we signed three agreements as a first package, which supports Iraq with 72 million euros to support the Iraqi government in its policy for the reconstruction of Iraq."
    "Since my last visit, there have been many events, including the Kuwait conference, during which international support was mobilized to help Iraq," he said.
    "The Union believes that Iraq has multiple potentials and we are working to help Iraq to diversify the sources of economy and provide job opportunities for Iraqis in general and displaced in particular."

    Iraq and the European Union (EU) have signed a new financial agreement of 72 million euros to support the post-war effort and help promote development, transparency and accountability in the region.

      Said Minister of Planning after signing a statement:" The agreement includes a set of measures to support the provision of basic services and reactivate economic activity and entrepreneurship and help facilitate the clearing of land and support reforms in the energy sector.

    "Iraq signed an agreement with the European Union on the issues of decentralization, support for the oil sector, support for the return of displaced people to their areas of residence, especially after demining, reconstruction of liberated cities, and continuing to activate and expand the partnership with the European Union," Minister of Planning Fuad Hussein told a news conference.
