    (BAGHDAD: Al-Furat News) Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs and Finance Minister Fuad Hussein in his office in Baghdad, Thursday, Marshall Billingsley, US Assistant Secretary of the Treasury and his party
    "During the meeting, which was attended by US Ambassador to Iraq Matthew Toller, they reviewed the economic and financial situation in Iraq in particular and the region in general," a statement from the minister's office said.
    The two sides also discussed "the mechanism of reforming the banking sector and ways to improve it, which reflects positively on the advancement of the economic reality in the country."
    They also discussed "the Iraqi government's plans to increase electricity production in preparation for next summer season and to cover all the energy needs of the provinces."
