The President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, and the President of the Kurdistan Regional Government, Masrour Barzani, stressed today, Wednesday, the importance of expediting the approval of the 2023 budget
. A statement by the Presidency of the Republic, received by Mawazine News, said, "The President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, was received at the Baghdad Palace President of the Kurdistan Regional Government, Masrour Barzani.
The statement added, "During the meeting, the overall developments and developments in the country were discussed. The government program and the importance of supporting it to provide the necessary services were discussed."
He pointed out that "the two parties discussed the issue of the general budget and stressed the importance of expediting its approval by the federal government and parliament."
And the statement continued, "There was talk about the share of the Kurdistan region and the emphasis on the need to send the amounts agreed upon in the Council of Ministers so that the regional government can pay the salaries of employees and implement its other obligations."
The statement added, "The president also discussed with the President of the Kurdistan Regional Government outstanding issues between the center and the region and the need to find ways to solve them, in order to strengthen the relationship between them to start implementing service projects and developing infrastructure in all governorates of Iraq."
