The Parliamentary Legal Committee revealed the most prominent laws awaiting a vote by the House of Representatives in the upcoming sessions, while it attributed the delay in passing the oil and gas law with the region to the failure to reach a political consensus.
Committee member Aref Al-Hamami said that Parliament is now focusing in all its committees to prepare the atmosphere for voting on the general budget law because many state matters depend on it, indicating that there are many stalled laws that await their enactment after completing the necessary amendments from the relevant committees.
He added that the oil and gas law is one of the laws that the House of Representatives is working to complete in order to pass it in the coming sessions, pointing out that the law needs political consensus before proceeding with its approval, and this is what is working to disable it so far.
